Welcome to the River Bend Meats farm!
The grass-fed, grass-finished difference.
Why is grass-fed, grass-finished beef such a big deal? What does it mean?
Put simply, farmers have the option of feeding their cattle grass, or grain.
Grass-fed means that the cattle are fed grass for their entire grazing life. Grass-finished means there's no sneaking in some grain every now and then, cattle eat only grass until they are harvested.
With grass-fed beef the meat itself is leaner. It has less fat deposited throughout vs grain-fed or grain-finished cattle, so it is healthier meat that's bursting with natural flavour.
Read some of our reviews to hear about how good it tastes. You can seriously taste the difference on your first bite.
Being grass-fed AND finished, our cattle roam freely on lush pastures. It's also better for the land, improving soil health and cutting down on nasty chemicals. Plus, the cows are happier roaming about our family farm!
Premium beef, without the price tag.
You’re getting every piece of tasty meat that you can for a much lower price than when buying cuts of meat individually. Some of our beef cuts (like scotch fillet) are sold for $51/kg. You'll save hundreds of dollars at a minimum buying in bulk this way vs buying retail.
Quality AND quantity
You’ll have your freezers full of our delicious Lochinvar grass-fed, grass-finished beef for months on end. It’s a fantastic way to order large amounts of some of the best tasting beef around.

Welcome to River Bend Meats
Located in the beautiful Hunter Valley (Lochinvar to be precise!)
Our story is simple
We moved in and got a few lawnmowers to keep the grass down. Turns out, those lawnmowers tasted really good! So we got a few more, and River Bend Meats was born.
Our farm is 150 acres in size, focused on sustainable and responsible farming. It's not about being the biggest; it's about doing things right. The family keep a low profile, but are proud of their work and love to share it with others. We blend traditional ways with new methods to take care of our land and animals.
We're known for our high-quality meat, we choose each item carefully to make sure it's the best. Our farming practices are sustainable and regenerative, which makes our meat not only tastier but also healthier and ethical.
We're deeply connected to our community. It's important to us to share what we produce with those around us. Whether you're in Newcastle or Muswellbrook, our products bring the natural goodness of the Hunter Valley to you.
