Where is River Bend Meats located?
Our farm is situated in Lochinvar in the Hunter Valley, Australia. We choose to keep the exact location private as it is also our family home.
Living in this beautiful spot, we are always developing it into a more sustainable and future focused farm, which contributes to the quality of our products.
What types of meat products do River Bend Meats offer?
Our beef, is sourced directly from our farm and prepared with the highest standards of quality and care.
Our pork, lamb, and poultry is equally delicious and provided by our partner business, Barry's Meat Co Cessnock.
Where possible, we prioritise partner farm suppliers that share our practices of sustainable farming and vaccine free environments.
What vaccinations & hormones do you use?
Our beef is 100% vaccine and hormone free. We have grown a safe and secure biosecurity farm bubble and constantly monitor our cattle to ensure that they are healthy and thriving.
Every bite of our beef product is as nature intended. Tender, juicy and flavoursome.
Our farm partners supplying other meat also follow similar farming practices, and the same is true for mRNA vaccines. Zero used across the board.
Are your farming practices environmentally friendly?
Absolutely! River Bend Meats prioritises sustainable farming methods that minimise our environmental impact. We implement practices such as rotational grazing and organic feed to ensure the land and animals are treated with respect.
How are your animals cared for?
We prioritise the well-being of our animals. They are raised in a stress-free environment, have access to open pastures, and are cared for by experienced professionals who ensure their health and comfort.
Do you offer organic meats?
While we adhere to organic farming principles, our meats may not be certified organic. We focus on sustainable and ethical practices to provide high-quality products without compromising on animal welfare or the environment.
Can I visit the River Bend Meats farm?
At present, we do not offer public visits to the farm due to biosecurity and safety reasons. However, we regularly share updates and insights about our farm on our website and social media platforms.
What is your shipping policy?

How can I place an order with River Bend Meats?
Orders can be placed directly through our website, where you can browse our selection of meats and complete your purchase. Alternatively, you can contact us via email at admin@riverbendmeats.com.au for assistance with your order.
What is your return or refund policy?
We strive for customer satisfaction. If you encounter any issues with your order, please contact us at admin@riverbendmeats.com.au within a reasonable time frame. We'll work to address your concerns and find a suitable solution.
Do you offer delivery?
We do! We offer delivery to most suburbs in the Hunter Valley. On each product page you'll see a dropdown for exact delivery timeframes, and we are currently delivering 2x days a week.
You'll be contacted on the day of your delivery to advise you of the estimated delivery window (we give you a window of 2 hours). If there are any issues with this delivery window, please contact us ASAP.
I missed my delivery, now what?
Things happen, but we are restricted in how long we can wait if no-one is present for delivery. We are a small team after all! In the event that we've attempted delivery and no-one is home, we'll leave a notification in your mailbox and you can pickup from Barry's Meat Co Cessnock at your earliest convenience or pay $13 for an additional delivery attempt.
Where is your meat actually processed?
We're proud to share that our beef has some of the best green miles around.
Our beef is taken from our Lochinvar farm to be humanely processed at an abattoirs in Kurri Kurri, taken to our Butcher Shop Barry's Meat Co in Cessnock, and then sent out for delivery to your door. A round trip of 34kms.
